Happy to see this is moving along. After the CQ is gone, my 80q will be moving into the garage for some rehab. Been sitting for nearly 2 years now, just haven't had the time or space to work on it.
I still lust after an S2 or S2 clone...

I'd really like to build a small chassis eventually. A 4kq is still at the top of the list, but the idea of an S2 clone is really growing on me.

Another little mini update. Heard about these single din CarPlay head units on Jason Cammisa's podcast a few weeks ago and picked one up. It's a Power Acoustik CP71w. $140 and has wireless CarPlay. Doesn't look completely out of place in here either. At least not any less out of place than the early 2000's pioneer that was in there before.
And yeah, ideally I'd have something more period correct in there, but the Blaupunkt SQR46 DAB is almost $500, and the Porsche Classic headunit is almost $1200. This will work for now lol
